Wow, May sure flew by!! It has just recently started feeling like spring in my city so I am shocked that I had to change my calendar at work to another month. I hope we get a lot of nice weather and only a little bit of rain this month. Usually June in Calgary is really rainy. I am not a fan of the rain so I am hoping for only a little bit. I know we will have to get some rain but I thinking that it could come at night while we are sleeping and if it has to come during the day, it should come on a work day! That way on the weekends we can all get out and enjoy the beautiful weather!
So how is everyone enjoying Monday? My
Monday is going by quite quickly and I am enjoying it. The forecast was originally calling for rain all day today but it has changed and now its supposed to be 15 and sunny! It looks nice outside now. Plus 15 isn't that warm though, especially after this weekend. We had absolutely gorgeous weather this weekend. It was perfect because friends of ours got married this weekend. Their wedding was beautiful. My fiance was in the wedding party and normally I do not like going to wedding where I have to sit alone but this one wasn't bad since the grooms sister was nice enough to talk to me while my fiance was off doing wedding stuff!
Speaking of wedding stuff, I was making a list of things I need to do for our wedding. There sure is a lot of stuff to do but its mostly little things so its
OK. I did make a list though and I am going to post my list on here. If you have any cool suggestions for things to do at weddings please leave your ideas in the comments!!!
My wedding list:
1. Get music for the
Ipod - instead of paying for a DJ we are going to bring our
ipod and use the restaurants speakers!
2. Contact wedding
coordinator about my flowers - I have to send her pics of the fake bridesmaids
bouquets I had made so she can match mine to their using real flowers. Our venue charges
alot for flowers so that is why I went with fake ones for the bridesmaids
3. Look for different ceremony wording - the wedding we just went to had different ceremony wording to make their wedding different from everyone
elses. I would like to look into this and see if I can find something that suits mine and
FH's relationship.
4. Find hair inspiration pics
5. Make timeline for
wedding party and family.
6. Plan meet and greet dinner - we aren't doing a
rehearsal since we are having a destination wedding. So I thought it would be a good idea for our guests to all get together for dinner, if they want, the night before.....now we just have to figure out where to have it!!
7. Make table numbers and seating plan
8. Make guest book on
shutterfly9. Pick a tux rental place
10. Find jewelry for bride and bridesmaids
11. Purchase wedding bands
12. Book engagement pics
13. Make card box
14. Checklist for what is needed for marriage licence
15. Make sure passports are current
16. Pick ceremony music
17. Make a list of "must take" photos for ceremony photographer and wedding party photographer
18. Book limo
19. Finish Bridesmaid gifts
20. Pick Groomsmen gifts
wow, 20 things. I didn't think it was that long!! Oh well, now I have it written down somewhere so I will check back and cross
things off as they get done! I will probably have to add things to it as well.
So
what did everyone do for the weekend? Was there anything exciting happening in your city? We had a street festival on here on
Sunday so we decided to go down and check that out. It was incredibly busy though so we
didn't stay long. I am not a huge fan of crowds.
I should get going and go back to work! Be back tomorrow!
